RECENT CHANGES:

Work on I-26 lanes moving forward:  With work on the center lanes and divider wall wrapping up, work is now underway on concrete paving on the new travel lanes of I-26, as well as exit and entrance ramps at the Aviation Avenue interchange.

Aviation Avenue:  Work is continuing on completing the exit and entrance ramps with I-26. The roadway is open to through traffic going between Rivers Avenue and the airport area.

TRAFFIC ADVISORIES:

  • I-26 night-time lane closures:  Night-time lane closures will be taking place most nights, weather conditions permitting.  Drivers can be expect lanes to be closed on both directions of I-26 at various locations and times for concrete paving work.  Speed limits of 45 will be strictly enforced during these times.
     

  • Exit ramp open at Remount Road: Permanent off-ramp from I-26 Eastbound to Remount Road is open at the temporary entrance point between Aviation Avenue and Remount Road.
     

  • Ramp closures at Aviation Avenue: These ramps were closed to allow work to commence on the new lanes and ramps on I-26. They will re-open once the new I-26 lanes re-open. Please use the ramps at Remount Road to reach Aviation Avenue.
