RECENT CHANGES:

· Shoulder improvement work on I-26:  This will facilitate future traffic shifts which will be needed to construct the new lanes and center median wall.

· Lane shifts and barrier on I-26 at Remount Road:  This will facilitate the construction of the Remount Road overpass, which is now underway.

· Casper Pagent Road closed:  This road to the North Charleston city court and fire department offices was closed to facilitate the Remount Road widening.  Detour signs direct motorists to Air Park Road.

TRAFFIC ADVISORIES:

• I-26 night-time lane closures:  Night-time lane closures will be taking place most nights, weather conditions permitting.  Drivers can be expect lanes to be closed on both directions of I-26 at various locations and times for concrete paving work.  Speed limits of 45 will be strictly enforced during these times.
   

• Periodic lane closures and traffic stops on Remount Road for moving construction equipment during the daytimes.
