One night, employees found this small alligator in the work zone, attempting to cross the road.  They carefully assisted the gator in crossing the road, where it then made itself at home in a nearby pond.

Work has begun on the columns for the new Aviation Avenue overpass.  As pictured below, steel rebar frames are being put together to keep that work moving.

     

Work has begun on the shoring wall for the new exit ramp from I-26 eastbound onto Aviation Avenue.  This is needed to allow the new exit ramp to be moved out in order to make room for the widened I-26.

Work on the future exit ramp onto Remount Road from I-26 westbound is making considerable progress.

     

Machinery is being readied to begin work on the roadway deck of the new Remount Road overpass.  As shown below, once the demolition of the old Remount Road overpass begins, work can continue on building new lanes on I-26 westbound.
