On the western section of the project, between Aviation Avenue and Midland Park Road, work on placing storm drainage lines in the center median is nearly complete.  This is the first step before the new travel lanes can be built.

  

Steel beams were placed between the existing overpasses at Midland Park Road.  This will allow the center lanes to be built for the widening of I-26.

With the new Remount Road route complete and work on ramps nearly done, work on the new Remount Road overpass is underway.
