South Saluda Street "fork":

As part of the project, this "Y" intersection will be closed and the street turned into a dead end local access street. Traffic on Saluda Street will go to the adjacent intersection at Albright Road (SC 121) and SC 901. Extra turn lanes will be added to handle the extra traffic.

Albright Road improvements:

Albright Road will be widened to four through lanes with a turn lane from the Saluda Street intersection to Heckle Boulevard.

Saluda Street:

Saluda Street will be widened from two lanes to four through lanes and a center turn lane from Albright Road to Heckle Boulevard.

S.C. 901 "main line":

These photos follow the project route southbound down S.C. 901.

S.C. 901 will be widened from two lanes to four through lanes and a center turn lane from the end of Saluda Street to the I-77 southbound on-ramp. A number of intersecting roads will be realigned for better visibility, several of these roads will have additional left and right turn lanes added. A total of twelve roads, including several neighborhoods, will have dedicated left-turn lanes off of Route 901.
