There are two nearby alternate routes which connect the Irmo area with Interstate 26. These can help you get around any traffic congestion on Piney Grove Road.

These two alternate routes are highlighted in yellow on the map shown below:

The area marked in orange and with red flags is the work zone for this project.

While every effort will be made to avoid any impact upon traffic on Piney Grove, we ask you to plan ahead and allow extra travel time when using Piney Grove Road during the construction project.

Should you use one of these alternate routes, instead Piney Grove Road, please keep in mind that either route will require 1-2 miles of extra driving through city traffic, and will require extra travel time.

U.S. Group, Inc., SCDOT, and local law enforcement will be working together to ensure all traffic laws, including posted speed limits, are obeyed. Please drive carefully through this and any other highway work zones.
